8mm Traction Steel Wire Rope for Lift

8mm Traction Steel Wire Rope for Lift

Ensure reliable and safe elevator operation with our premium 8mm steel wire rope, specifically engineered for vertical transportation systems. Manufactured to meet or exceed international standards (EN 12385, ISO 4344), this rope delivers exceptional strength, flexibility, and fatigue resistance—critical for daily passenger and freight elevator service.

Key Specifications:

• Diameter: 8mm (± tolerance)

• Construction: 8x19S or 8x25F (or as required) – compacted or non-compacted strands

• Core Type: Steel core (IWRC) for high breaking load and minimal elongation

• Tensile Grade: 1570 N/mm² – 1770 N/mm² (grade selectable)

• Breaking Load: Approx. 20–26 kN depending on construction and grade

• Surface Finish: Lightly lubricated, clean and dry (no dripping oil)

Key Features & Benefits:

• High Fatigue Life – Optimized strand design reduces internal friction and wear, extending replacement intervals.

• Minimal Rotation – Balanced construction ensures stable lift car suspension without excessive spinning or cabling.

• Excellent Flexibility – The 8mm diameter allows smooth bending over smaller sheaves common in machine-room-less (MRL) elevators.

• Corrosion Resistance – Specialized lubricant and galvanized option available for humid or marine environments.

• Uniform Lay Length – Precision manufacturing guarantees smooth, vibration-free ride comfort.

Applications:

• Passenger elevators (low to mid-rise buildings)

• Freight and service lifts

• Hydraulic elevator governor or compensating ropes

• Home lifts and dumbwaiters

Safety & Compliance:
Each rope undergoes strict tensile, torsion, and dynamic fatigue testing. Supplied with factory test certificate (EN 10204 3.1). Regularly inspect for wear, rust, or broken wires per local elevator safety codes.
